This stunning Mint Springs farmhouse plan was created for a Nolensville, Tennessee family with a gorgeous 8-acre lot. Unique requests in designing this beautiful home were the desire to capture sunrise views, and the need for a private suite for extended stay guests.
The views from this private, hilltop property are expansive. The sunroom off of the kitchen is positioned ideally on the front of the home to capture sunrise views over the Tennessee hills while the family sits together to drink coffee and begin each day. The master bedroom also has a covered porch with a fireplace for a relaxing and private area to unwind and enjoy the landscape, and is also positioned for enjoyment of the sunrise.
The large covered porch off of the expansive family room has a fireplace and spectacular views of this family’s large property and the private woods beyond. Understanding their enjoyment of working in the large garden they planned for the rear of the home, I created an exterior door just off of the laundry room for easy garden access, as well as a convenient potting area in the laundry room itself. I love to work with my clients to maximize not just their indoor space, but to take full advantage of the benefits of their landscape and other outdoor features.
With frequent extended stay guests, the family requested that I add features in this home to make their visitors comfortable for longer durations. With that in mind, I created a private guest suite over the garage with a kitchenette and a separate entrance. Visitors can spend time with the family while also enjoying privacy during their stay. Additionally, built in bunks are included in the bonus room for guests with larger families, or for extra fun at sleepovers.
I was thrilled to be able to work with this family to design the beautiful Mint Springs Farmhouse, a stylish and spacious forever home that will continue to meet their needs for years to come!
